Emiliana Serbatoi, the milestone of forty years is a starting point

Knowing how to anticipate market needs, guarantee manufacturing excellence and ensure a concrete response to all customer needs. Above all, it is the combination of these factors, the real challenge to be faced on a daily basis, which has characterized the activity of Emiliana Serbatoi, the company founded on 17th June 1983 by Gian Lauro and Giancarlo Morselli and which over time has become an international leader in the production of storage and transport fuel tanks together with distribution systems, as well as fuel control and management systems.
Exactly forty years after its foundation, the company celebrated the anniversary with a series of initiatives that involved Italian and international partners and which culminated with the gala event with 350 guests.
«It has been a long and exciting journey since 1983 - says the CEO Morselli -, a journey that would not have been possible if we had not always worked with passion and commitment, pursuing quality, innovation and sustainability». Today Emiliana Serbatoi, who started from a shed on the outskirts of Modena, «lives all over the world – he continues -, in all continents: thanks to our commercial and technical departments and the action of our dealers, we are present in Italy and dozens of countries abroad. We aim to always face new markets, while continuing to structure ourselves in the territories in which we are already present».
That's why this "birthday" "does not represent a simple goal but a pivotal point towards new horizons and renewed challenges", reflects the CEO. Just between the end of May and the beginning of June, moreover, the company had participated for the first time in two new exhibition halls abroad, "Agriplanta" in Romania and "Ire" in Netherlands, further enriching the intense exhibition activity that has always characterized the commercial and communicative action of Emiliana Serbatoi.
The celebration of the fortieth anniversary took place in the suggestive location of Villa La Personala, in Mirandola, nearby Modena, where guests lived a magical experience by witnessing water games, artistic evolutions and musical interpretations, up to the traditional epilogue, in the night, on the dance floor. Godmother of the night was the television presenter Juliana Moreira, who guided the appointment with warmth, while the president of Emilia-Romagna Region, Stefano Bonaccini sent a personalized greetings video message.
Of course, the honors were done by the president Morselli, who, presenting on stage the monograph created to tell Emiliana Serbatoi's forty years of activity through the most significant images, recalled the path of the company, from the artisan beginning up to the various steps represented by the construction of tanks, fixed and transportable, in steel and plastic material, for storage and delivery of fuels built in compliance with ministerial standards, then arriving at the launch of technological systems for digital monitoring and real-time supplies.
Among the main passages in the company's history, also the establishment, in 2001, in the Campogalliano plant, located a few steps from the entrance to the Autobrennero, «as if it were a permanent fair for our products», underlines Morselli, and doubling its spaces in 2017; the acquisition of a business unit for product processing in San Donà di Piave, nearby Venice, in 2013; participation in exhibitions on all continents since the mid-1980s; attention to the environmental impact with the adoption of increasingly "green" materials and processes; proximity to health institutions during the Covid period; investments in corporate welfare, declined in recent years also and above all on the sports front, with the construction of a gym and a padel court.
Over time, the company has also obtained the "quality marks" issued by the relevant bodies: Emiliana Serbatoi presents, in fact, various certifications starting from Uni En Iso 9001:2015 and the approvals and homologations of the Italian, Swiss and US Ministries competent in matter and by internationally accredited institutions with Tuv, Bureau Veritas and Crif rating agency Cribis D&B. Numerous products with Adr approval and marked Onu are released daily.
Today the company, firmly led by Gian Lauro Morselli, has about a hundred employees and has achieved turnover shares of nearly 38 million euros, with a proportion equally divided between Italian and foreign markets.
«We have always tried to grasp the signals of the markets before competitors - adds the CEO - to be ready, with courage and dynamism, with solutions that respond to the new national and international standards. Work culture, sales network, cutting-edge technology and punctual technical assistance animate our daily activity, with the aim of offering customers reliable and quality products, capable of resisting over time, even for decades », he specifies.
The evening ended with the traditional cutting of the cake: in this moment the company staff got on stage, for a toast «to certify the fact that we really are a big family. This is one of the main strengths of Emiliana Serbatoi», concludes Morselli.
