Fuel Filtration Systems

Advanced fuel filtration systems

Fuel Filtration Systems
Emiliana Serbatoi can offer a wide range of versatile and superior filtration systems designed for use with several different high performance filter cartridges in several applications.

We can provide filtration systems for Diesel Fuel, Biodiesel, Gasoline and Aviation Fuels as per customer specifications up to complex and technically challenging projects, including conceptual design.

Filtration Concepts:
  • Micro-filtration;  design to effectively and continuously remove solid containments such as rust, dirt, scale, granular and other solid impurities from fuel. They are available in 0,5 to 25 microns. These filters are designed for easy servicing and low maintenance.
  • Monitor (absorptive) filters; these systems filter out water by chemically locking it into layers of super-absorbent media. These cartridges also effectively filter out dirt, rust and other particulates. As fuel flows from the outside of the cartridge to the inside, the special water absorbent medium retains water, and the pleats expand. As the maximum water holding capacity is reached, there is a reduction in flow. The cartridge slows, then stops the flow of product as it reaches maximum capacity. This indicates that the cartridge is ready to be changed, assuring a clean and filtered product. These systems can absorb highly emulsified water from 50 ppm to less than 5 ppm (depending on the applications and requirements).
  • Coalescer-Separator filters; these coalescer and separator systems are installed to remove water and dirt from fuel. The fuel passes from the outside to the inside through the coalescer. Dirt is filtered out of the fuel and free/emulsified water in fuel is coalesced. The coalesced water droplets, which form on the inside of the coalescer, are repelled from going further down-stream by the separator. The water settles down to the sump where it is manually drained. These systems can remove water from 50 ppm to less than 5 ppm (depending on the applications and requirements).
Technical Specifications:
  • Housings: made in carbon steel, aluminum or stainless steel; all carbon steel vessels are epoxy coated internally and externally.
  • Gaskets: Buna-N or Viton.
  • Flow rate: from 55 Lpm to 2000 Lpm

Accessories and options:
  • Differential pressure gauges - cartridge change indicators.
  • Automatic air eliminators
  • Manual drain valves
  • Pressure relief valves
  • Sight glasses
