A 360° overview on sea economy: dynamics, trends, reformation, governance, mobility and sustainability, nautic tourism, national and European self-sufficiency, development prospects. Last May, in Rome, Confindustria introduced “Progetto Mare”, a strategic report of proposals, analysis and details on sea economy in Confindustria ecosystem. Progetto Mare strategy involved biggest stakeholders in Italian maritime port sector: Confitarma, Assonave, Confindustria Nautica (organising in Genoa International Boat Show), Federpesca, Federtrasporto, Federchimica and many others Confindustria associated. Among relevant themes, emerged Nautic 4.0 and strategic role of International Boat Show, exhibition organised directly from the association. Concerning 4.0, Confindustria Nautica Vice-President, Andrea Razeto claims that innovation will be the key for a real change: thanks to new and sustainable materials. Nowadays, customers are far more demanding and technology is an imperative request for new boats. In 2023, the Boat Show will be completely renowed. Subsidies risk to be spoiled: international naming of International Boat Show must be strongly established, maximising resources without any economic waste.
